Coffee of the Month – September 2015

My cup of coffee today, and the fact that yesterday was National Coffee Day, has inspired me to pick a favorite coffee I have had each month, and post it here.  I figure it will give people some info on some good coffee to try, if they are so inclined.

Today I am drinking Guatemala Pacamara from Happy Mug Coffee Co.

You can check out their description here and buy some too:

And for a bit more research on what this coffee is and where it comes from, this site gives some insight on what Pacamara means:

And this site gives some background on the farm itself:

Priorities

Over the last few weeks, I have experienced a spiritual roller coaster.

I have pondered a technology fast, as I consider the priorities of life.

Over the last couple days I have been faced with the following articles (probably due to the latest Apple release):

  • http://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/learning-linger-spotify-age
  • http://www.relevantmagazine.com/culture/tech/spiritual-consequences-tech-addiction
  • On my way into work, I listened to a sermon given by Francis Chan where he used the following key verse:

Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? James 4:5

Taking these above lessons, today I think: Jesus desires me, and sadly technology quickly crowds Him out.
